Lacies Fun Open Day, takes place on Saturday 12th July 2025 at the shop promises to be a great adult days fun.

 

GLAMOUR MAKE OVERS – free of charge but need to be  booked in ADVANCE we use quallity Kryolan products all avilabe ot buy form the shop includinfg false eyelashes

PIE COMPETITION – Move over bake off there’s a new kid in town. Everyone who bakes pies whether there fruit, tarts, or meat except fish are welcome to enter a pie in our fun competition Each Exhibitor can enter 2 pies. Costs £2.50 each all monies raised go to South Kent Mind – a mental health charity. Judging is by a blind tasting, judges to be announced.

TRANS HISTORY DISPLAY Cuttings from old local newspapers and Newlsetters  – Did yo u know that Lacies has been going ofr 25 years this year. As well as influencing the movie and broadway show Kinky Boots, we have played a part in transgender history. Our group Les Sheks meaning Self Help East Kent & Sussex held regular meetings and started a helpline. We also started Miss TG Brighton which was a regular fixture of the Brighton scene for 5 years attended by the Mayor of Brighton and covered by BBC Radio Sussex. and The Argos Newspaper.
