‘Boss in Boots’ is a tale of a journey of factory owner Steve Pateman as told in his own words. His idea was to turn a struggling factory making traditional gentleman’s shoes into one making sexy footwear for cross dressers. This was inspired in turn by a chance discussion with Lacies’ own Sue Sheppard (Lacies’ is fantsygirl and fantasyshopping). This journey that began in a small factory in Earls Barton, in Northamptonshire, England and went on to Broadway, New York, USA. This is a story that has inspired so many – the true story behind ‘KINKY BOOTS’.
